David,

Above all, it's frustrating. With everytime I have been up close and personal to an event covered by the media (be it big in scope or small & local), I have yet to see accuracy. Laziness, ratings-hype, agenda - yes. Accuracy - no. As a young airman on deployment to Turkey right after the first Gulf War, it was frustrating to watch the reporting on CNN International and the network news from back home. It was maddening and it damaged morale to know people with great influence were lying about you. Being on the home front as a civilian this time around, I am angered by the outright arrogance and malice in the reporting that seems to be so gleefully disseminated. I am happy for the troops that, thankfully, a way of getting the truth out is rapidly developing.
