David,

I really enjoy your thoughts on writing- - your words are inspiring. I think your suggestions should help any aspiring writer get started. I also admire you for taking the plunge and self-publishing your books. I have had some success writing computer books over the years and I do have a relationship with a publisher, but, as you say, there are many publishing options nowadays and there is no reason for anyone not to publish their work. Besides, I think there are many smaller niche markets that major publishers won't venture into and these markets are ripe for aspiring authors to exploit.

David, when I stop to think how, when I first started Spinning, I would write each entry out in Word first so that I could easily edit it and take my time writing it. Since last fall, after a bit less than a year of blogging, I found myself writing directly into the post. Except for typos, the words come out directly from mind to keyboard.
